TEST SYSTEMS AND ENHANCED TEST
SOLUTIONS

TRI has developed various portable Electronic Combat

System Testers from automated End-to-End test
equipment and Test Programs

to hand held free-space signal

generators for quick Go/No-go

checks to ensure equipment

and system is working and

reliable in combat situations.

TRI has also developed an enhanced kit to the newly
released Agilent Network Analyzer with hardware and software. This provides

the signal generator with antennae the ability to transmit up to 40 GHz with upgrades from 50 to 110 GHz. This hand held tester also provides a Network Analyzer using time domain to identify and locate faulty RF components. Capture and store the measured transmission data across the RF spectrum and recall previous measurements to view RF performance.

TRI’s Free-space testers referred to as MPSG (Multiband Portable Signal Generator) offer quick Go-No Go, system checks. The operator directs RF
energy from the MPSG to the aircraft receive antenna site. Receipt of the simulated RF threat by the system should then initiate an appropriate response in cockpit display and by the jamming trans-mitter. A TPIU (Transmit Power Indicator Unit) located on transmit antenna site provides quick visual (LED) indicating system is a Go.
